WWE Reportedly Releases Sasha Banks One Month After Walking Out

Reports say that WWE fired Sasha Banks one month after she quit

Sasha Banks has reportedly been let go by WWE.

The surprising news comes a month after Banks and her tag team partner Naomi left an episode of WWE Raw in May. They reportedly left because they had creative differences and felt that the WWE wasn't taking the women's tag team division seriously. At the time, they were the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

The first person to say that Sasha Banks had been let go was Raj Giri, the founder of Wrestling Inc. He said, "I've heard that Sasha Banks has been let go. I don't know if she asked for it or if WWE did it on their own." Details aren't clear yet because Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful hasn't been able to confirm the release with WWE yet. Back in May, WWE said that Banks and Naomi were leaving, and they then suspended both of them

WWE said, "When Sasha Banks and Naomi got to the arena this afternoon, they were told they would be in tonight's main event of Monday Night Raw." "During the show, they walked into the office of WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis with their suitcases, put their tag team championship belts on his desk, and left.

They said that as tag team champions, they didn't get enough respect. Even though they had eight hours to practise and plan their match, they said they didn't feel comfortable in the ring with two of their opponents, even though they'd fought those people before without any problems. Monday Night Raw is a live TV show that is scripted, and the characters are expected to do what is in their contracts.

Banks is a five-time WWE Raw Women's Champion and a one-time WWE SmackDown Women's Champion. She has also been the main event at WrestleMania with Bianca Belair in 2021. In the last ten years, she has been a big part of the resurgence of the women's division. "The Boss" first became famous in WWE NXT, where she had a memorable feud with Bayley, with whom she would later hold the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship twice.

Banks, whose real name is Mercedes Varnado, has tried her hand at acting. She played Koska Reeves in two episodes of The Mandalorian.
